VINSBINS are proud to have played a part in the sustainable measures the RACV Resort Cape Schanck’s development has taken to remove and recycle as much materials as possible, ensuring less materials going to landfill.
The $150 million redevelopment has also provided a major boost to the Mornington Peninsula economy, being one of the largest single tourism investments in regional Victoria in recent years and creating over 350 construction jobs.
Once the Cape Schanck redevelopment is complete, the resort is expected to create around 60 new jobs in accommodation, hospitality, health and wellness, and conferences and events, bringing the total number of staff to about 150 people.
As the area’s only 200-plus room, 4.5-star resort and conference center, the redeveloped resort will also increase the number of large-scale events and conferences being held on the Mornington Peninsula, which will boost the local tourism industry for years to come.
Overall, the economic benefit of the new resort is expected to be nearly $12 million a year.
