EPA’s New Organisational Strategy

As part of the EPA’s reform plan, stakeholders’ views were gathered and now incorporated in the newly released “Our Environment, Our health”, the EPA’s new strategy that sets out 5 goals of preventing harm, equipping community and business, an influential authority, responding to harm, and excellence.

For business this means, “clear advice and guidance that supports compliance and “timely and proportionate consequences for those that do the wrong thing.”

The Annual Plan 2017-18 provides a progress on activities that the EPA is working towards including continuing Financial Assurance Reform, the implementation of a compliance and engagement to drive better industry practices and continuing to pursue reform in land planning that involves advice from the EPA.
